Our Story

Club Car Lounge is located in the historic Freight House Building in Bogalusa, Louisiana. The Freight House was originally built in the early 1900’s and was part of the GM&O Railroad. The Freight House was formerly a depot for cargo deliveries such as appliances, food, retail items, etc. The “Rebel” was a passenger train that also passed through Bogalusa taking passengers in route to St. Louis, Missouri, New Orleans, and Mobile, Alabama.

The Depot, as it was referred to in the day, was later converted into a restaurant and retail shops. The Current owner decided to give rebirth to the dilapidated Freight House building and restore the Club Car, known today as Club Car Lounge. The vision was to restore the building and give the community an upscale, but laid-back cocktail lounge which was inspired by the rich history of the building and the 1900’s era. The Bartenders uniforms also depict that era.

Club Car Lounge offers handcrafted cocktails, as well as a wide selection of hard to find, high-end Bourbons. Definitely a place worth visiting! Be sure to mark this location as a destination to visit and enjoy all of our hand-crafted cocktails.

You are always welcome at the Club Car Lounge.
